New worlds await

Times they are always changing.
Most of you who know me already know about this change but after a week on the job I thought I should put it out there on my own site.
After 10 plus years as a sales rep, the last four with Wenonah Canoe and Current Designs, IR and Astral, I have decided to take a job as the Regional Director of IMBA, or the International Mountain Bike Association. So far the choice has been great. Certainly busy and certainly interesting. I have gone from the routine of clinics and demos to the dynamic arena of advocacy. Already I am off to the WI State capitol to learn about interacting with state politicians and everyday so far I am meeting new and interesting people. I will miss the old crew in paddlesports but I will never be too far from them. Margaret and I managed to save a few boats for ourselves so we wont be without canoes and kayaks to get out there and hang with you!

Hansio: what's up? Glad to hear you are excited about the big change. I am sure you are going to have your hands full with the new job. My buddy Lance works with the Idaho Leg. as part of Fish and Game and he's fascinated by the processes involved in the legislature. So I hope you derive the same amount of enjoyment. Jacci and I look forward to seeing you three sometime in the future. I spent some time on Tae's Blog and left a comment...just in case Margaret asks "who the hell is this stranger commenting on our son's blog?" -Matt
