Tae's first feeling of self propelled glide....

So yesterday, Tae, who has been totally uninterested in his strider bike asked me if he could "Ride down the Mountain" meaning the embankment in our yard. Tae has not even really sat on this thing or walked it very far so I was a big skeptical when I said yes, more skeptical that he would not even attempt it. I mean the kid is 2 years old. So I was quite impressed when he walked up, launched off and actually glided a few feet before impact and then stood up and asked to do it again. Well multiple runs later he said, he was done and then asked if he could watch You Tube mountain bike crashes before bed. Wonders will never cease....

Mckenzie River Trail, another icon off the MTB riding life list.

A ride I wont soon forget. We started with dry cool conditions and finished with wet, cold conditions. The whole thing was like a tripped out indy art film on steroids. Everywhere I looked there were extremely large trees and moss and vegetation that was neon green and water that aquamarine or electric blue. Awesome visually and sweet trails dry or wet physically....

Hood River Oregon!

Just back from a killer week in Hood River Oregon. My last big trip of the season was really memorable. It was then followed up by CAMBA's Festival of Trails and two days at the Cuyuna project. Posts on those to follow!
