Frostbike 2011 Images

One of the best parts of my job is interacting with the slew of pirates and nerdowells who comprise the cycling industry.  Hanging out at Frostbike this weekend was a great example of that.  Made some new friends and was lucky to see some old ones as well!

Walking the rotunda, wearing a monkey suit...

Rotunda

Courtland tells it like it is
Courtland Nelson and Minnesota Parks and Trails unveiled their 25 year Legacy Plan on Monday and I went to the State Capitol to see the results.  I was struck by how forward thinking the plan was on getting kids outside and I congratulate the DNR on this effort.

More work but on the other side of the lake! Grand Marais, MN

Sunrise, lake on my right

Checking out the Sugarbush proposed trail sight with good friend Cory Berg of the USFS

Sunset, lake on my left...
After a few days working with the folks in the Keweenaw I found myself getting up at 5am to attend a meeting with the Superior Cycling club in Grand Marais, MN. The full other side of the lake!  No wonder my car has had 44,000 miles on it since Jan! The drive was gorgeous and the meeting very inspiring.  Always great to work with such great folks like those in Grand Marais and with such great partners like the US Forest Service!  Should be fun to see what comes out of the proposed projects at both Pincushion and also at Sugarbush!
